EABC Luncheon Seminar: “Thailand Telehealth Transformation; Telemedicine, Telepharmacy & Healthcare Big Data”
Synopsis:
COVID-19 affects not only the significant change in health system but the significant changes in social behavior related to health and well-ness. While the case numbers of COVID-19 have been stabilized in Thailand, it does not signal a return to the “normalcy” of our pre-COVID-19 lives. The beginning of a new normal for all of us may need us to consider a step-wise approach based on thorough risk assessments to allow us to earn our living and keep our health system functioning. There is thus an opportunity for a new health system.
Digitalization would play several roles to improve healthcare access, and quality and efficiency in the healthcare system. Telehealth; including telemedicine and telepharmacy, is one of the key enabling factors to help improving individuals’ health and wellness sustainably and efficiently, especially in an increasingly aging society for the new normalcy.
