SUMMARY:DFDL Breakfast Seminar Invitation: How Will The Newly Enacted Thai Competition Law Impact M&A transactions? | 15 December 2017 | Bangkok
DESCRIPTION:BREAKFAST SEMINAR INVITATION\nHow will the newly enacted Thai Competition Law impact M&A transactions?\n15 December 2017     |     Bangkok \n\n\nCompetition law is generally underdeveloped in jurisdictions across South-East Asia\, including Thailand. While Thailand has had a competition law for many years\, it has generally been considered as an infant base to be strengthened and improved over time; particularly with reference to its merger regime.  The Trade Competition Act is meant to address a number of issues identified in the previous legislation including the implementation of a merger regime for Thailand.  For the first time\, local and international economic concentrations affecting Thai markets may be subject to review and/or prohibition and Competition Law will have to be a consideration in the planning and implementation of such transactions. \nIn this breakfast seminar\, we’ll be discussing: \n\nThe fundamental concepts and objectives of competition legislation\nThe new Thai Competition Law and new Thai merger regime\nA South-East Asia comparison perspective: Recent developments in the Competition Law and merger regime environment in the Philippines\n\nAgenda:\n\n8.00 am – 8.30 am: Registration\n8.30 am – 10.00 am: Seminar & Panel discussion\n10.00 am – 10.30 am: Q & A Session\n\nWe hope you will join us for this informative session.
