SUMMARY:Arise Plus Thailand Appeals Mechanism Workshop For The Private Sector
DESCRIPTION:The International Trade Centre (ITC)\, a joint agency of the World Trade Organization and the United Nations\, is implementing the ARISE Plus Thailand Project\, funded by the European Union. This 3-year project\, which started on 1 November 2020\, is implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce/Department of Trade Negotiations of Thailand. \nThe project aims to support inclusive and sustainable trade growth and poverty reduction in Thailand\, while contributing to economic integration in the ASEAN region. One of the specific objectives of the project is to improve efficiency of public expenditure\, by contributing to enhancing the capacity of the Comptroller General Department (CGD) for the application of the public procurement framework in accordance with international standards. SUMMARY:EuroCham Singapore Webinar: The Future of Connected Vehicles in Singapore\, Vietnam\, The Philippines and Malaysia
DESCRIPTION:The Asia Pacific Connected Cars market is anticipated to register a Compound annual growth rate (CAGR) greater than 19% during the forecast period (2020 – 2025). Vehicles today are equipped with various electronics and machinery equipment. But significant technological developments made over the last decade has let rise to connected cars come in use today and it is expected to evolve in the future. Connected cars improve road safety\, facilitate anti-theft features\, and assist the driver by exchanging critical information between nearby infrastructure and vehicles. \nThe only threat is China\, the fastest-growing region for an automotive technology manufacturer. But as of 2019\, Europe has the second largest market share in the connected cars market. Europe is known for its extensive technological OEMs\, which works in domains such as in-car entertainment\, navigation\, and in-car connectivity (for example\, through Bluetooth)\, which have evolved rapidly over the last decade. The top three automotive groups – Volkswagen\, PSA and Renault Nissan Alliance – account for almost half of the connected car shipments in Europe\, primarily because they have been leading the passenger car sales in the region. ASEAN will need to step up their approach towards connected vehicles and adopt a more positive mindset of the benefits they can provide. Being one of the largest untapped markets in the world\, ASEAN holds the capability to adopt and develop connected vehicles better and faster than anyone else. \nIn this webinar\, we will feature the key market trends driving factors of the growth in this new market. We will answer a very important question in the webinar\, “Is ASEAN ready to invest in the connected cars market and the required infrastructure to decrease the number of road accidents and to meet the higher demand for vehicle management?” We will hear from governments\, international safety originations\, and significant industry players in the ASEAN market how they are working together to use of information-sharing and connectivity to improve road safety further and provide the citizens with a more comfortable driving experience. \nDate & Time\n11 April 2022\, Monday\n4:00 pm – 5:45 pm SGT\n9:00 am – 10:45 am CET \nRegistration HERE                                                                                                                                                                                            EuroCham  Members: FREE\nNon-members: FREE \n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n

Importantly\, there are cases where self-care interventions even improve access\, linkage to care and health outcomes.” To optimize these benefits\, it would strongly require the foundation of health system\, policy supports as well as multi-stakeholder collaboration and approach to drive key enablers and overcome challenge to achieve the self-care outcomes for patient and health system benefits. Additionally\, COVID-19 pandemic enhanced digital opportunity and interventions which could support selfcare promotion with increased awareness and digital literacy among individuals. \n  \nEuropean Association for Business and Commerce (EABC)\, EU-ASEAN Business Council (EU-ABC)\, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences\, Chulalongkorn University and Thai Self-Medication Industry Association (TSMIA) recognize the importance and this trend globally\, regionally and in Thailand. Respectively\, it is the time to enhance dialogues and experience sharing to explore how Thailand could move towards this direction with patient and consumer centricity. \n  \nThis webinar will provide experience sharing about self-care according to international experiences as well as deep diving to economic impact of self-medication in Thailand from an academic viewpoint. The sessions would include presentations and panel discussions to address of self-care development as “Moving forward on the self-care path in digital new normalcy” in Thailand. \n  \nProgram \n\n\n\nTime\nAgenda\nSpeakers\n\n\n13.30–14.00   \nRegistration\n\n\n14.00 –14.05  \nOpening Remark\nH.E. SUMMARY:EU-ASEAN Business Council Webinar: Legislating EPR in ASEAN.
DESCRIPTION:It is not a surprise that plastic pollution is a major problem in Southeast Asia – in 2021\, more than 30 million tonnes of plastic waste was generated in just six ASEAN countries\, packing landfills and choking water bodies that surround and meander through the region. The threats to human life and nature have been made clear\, and with ASEAN’s population and economies booming\, it is now more urgent than ever to tackle the issue. One clear way is through moves on Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR). \nCollecting\, sorting\, and recycling of post-consumer products cost governments money. To ensure that such efforts can be meaningfully scaled and continue to be funded\, EPR schemes can be implemented. EPR is a policy approach that shifts the responsibility of waste management – financial and/or physical away from local authorities to producers; what this does is also to incentivise producers to prevent waste at the source and come up with innovative product design that have minimal environmental impact and are easily reusable or recyclable. \nThe advantages of EPR schemes are obvious\, and yet implementation remains sparse across ASEAN. This Webinar will discuss how stakeholders in both the public and private sectors can encourage and accelerate the adoption of EPR legislation in ASEAN countries\, the challenges in doing so\, particularly for MSMEs and private sector players\, and how we can get the buy-in of all stakeholders along the chain\, from manufacturers\, to waste facilities\, and consumers. \n\n\n\nDate: Mar 1\, 2022\nTime: 03:00 PM (BKK Time)\nWebinar Register link: https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_BZEVI19aQFqZubp18UBa3A\n\n

SUMMARY:EU & ASEAN Green Transition: Focus on Renewable Energies
DESCRIPTION:Find out more about EU green deal priorities and green agenda on 24 February with a focus on renewable energies! Featuring Ms Kadri Simson\, EU Commissioner for Energy and H.E. Suy Sem\, Cambodia Minister of Mines and Energy amongst other prominent speakers. \n\n\nThe framework of the EU Industry Days and Week 2022\, the EU Delegation to ASEAN and the EU-ASEAN Business Council is organising a webinar “EU & ASEAN green transition: focus on renewable energies” \nThe webinar will offer an overview of ongoing actions in the EU and ASEAN to support the EU green deal priorities and green agenda with a focus on renewable energies. It will present the opportunities that the Team Europe Initiative might offer in ASEAN for the decarbonisation of the energy sector. Speakers will focus on strengths of weaknesses of the renewable energies uptake and in exploring how to step up EU and ASEAN cooperation to achieve results in a short term. The webinar will be organised in the format of a moderated panel discussion (introduced by two video messages including from the EU Commissioner for Energy (TBC) and the Cambodia Minister for Mines and Energy (TBC). \nSoutheast Asia has significant potential for renewable energy. Most recently\, the Philippines and Vietnam have announced retiring coal-fired plants before the end of their life cycles\, as part of a massive initiative undertaken by the Asian Development Bank and others. However\, the progress to shift to renewables is slow\, especially as governments continue to implement strong economic incentives to cling to fossil fuels\, which is why it continues to be strong engagement on the part of the private sector to encourage policy change in this region. \nPotential for EU and ASEAN cooperation in the development and uptake of renewable energies is recognised by both sides as promising and as a key for achieving climate targets. Decarbonisation of the energy sector in ASEAN will be an important part of the fight against climate change and of the green transition of the economy. \n\n\n\nThis overview of ongoing actions in the EU & ASEAN to support these initiatives is not to be missed!\n\n\nDate : 24 Feb 2022 \nTime: 03:00 PM (Thailand Time) \nRegister : https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_Yy0woSj4TISKYIuLs6YnTA \n

SUMMARY:PASS TO BANGKOK INTERNATIONAL DOCUMENTARY AWARDS 2021 AT ALLIANCE FRANÇAISE BANGKOK
DESCRIPTION:This Pass gives access to all the screenings organized at Alliance Française Bangkok open for reservation. \nHow does the pass work? \nIt’s very simple\, once you buy your pass either online or directly at Alliance Française\, we will send you by email a booking code. When you want to book a place for a screening all you have to do is add the screening to your shopping cart. When you confirm your basket and reach the payment page\, enter the booking code that was sent to you\, the screenings will then automatically be free. You just have to confirm your reservation. \n  \nThe pass is strictly personal and cannot be transferred or sold to another person. A pass holder can only book one ticket per screening. Any additional seat must be purchased. \n  \nOn your first visit\, do not forget to collect your pass. Remember to carry your pass with you\, you may be asked to show it at the entrance of the auditorium. \n  \nYou can also book screenings directly at Alliance\, either at the ticket office in front of the auditorium 30 minutes before a screening starts or directly at the cultural service offices. \n  \nDue to the current restrictions\, seats are limited. We recommend that you reserve your seats in advance. Holding a pass only guarantees access to the screenings within the limits of available seats. \n  \n\nFor more information please visit the website here. \n
