SUMMARY:AI in Education: A regional webinar for Thailand & Singapore business & education communities
DESCRIPTION:Artificial Intelligence has been with us for decades. Its uses have become widely embedded.  Generative AI (which now has several main platform offerings with ever-expanding capabilities) became popularly known only in late 2022. It is able to generate original looking content such as writing a term paper or research paper\, a speech\, creating images from text\, creating a podcast. \nIt is a great tool\, but there can be negative outcomes through misuse of AI – eg False information\, hallucinations\, intellectual property violations (many not new behaviours but potentially made easier by Gen AI). Prompting to instruct the generative AI platform has become an art and a science (Prompt Engineering) \nHow should Students use AI; what about Educators/Researchers\, and Institutions? \nJoin this webinar (organized by JFCCT’s Digital Economy/ICT and Sasin School of Management) for a dive into understanding trends and issues in AI in education\, which will be useful also in digital skills training in company environments. \nIn the Backgrounder: AI Governance (Table 1 in Annex) abounds. See Table 3 in the Annex for practices for AI in education relying on global\, regional and various national developments. \nA draft ‘ideal’ but non prescriptive policy paper will be provided before the event\, which will take in global\, regional and local practices and show sources. See item 4 in Annex in the Backgrounder. Please consider those issues\, they will be the main focus of the webinar. \nEvent Details: \nDate: Friday\, 29th November 2024 \nTime: 8:30-10:30 am (Indochina Time) \nRegistration: here \nNote: Please see the Backgrounder for more information: here \nPigeonhole: here  code:  JFCCTAI  (open 24 Nov – 30 Nov)
